UNIFORM SCHOOL FUND APPROPRIATION
2 2003 FIRST SPECIAL SESSION

5 This act appropriates monies from the General Fund to the Uniform School Fund if, at
6 the end of the 2002-03 fiscal year, there is a deficit in the Uniform School Fund and a
7 surplus in the General Fund. This act takes effect immediately.
8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
9 Section 1. Appropriation.
10 If at the end of fiscal year 2002-03, the Division of Finance determines that there is a
11 deficit in the Uniform School Fund and a surplus in the General Fund, before making any
12 transfers of the surplus to any Budget Reserve Account or making any other contingent
13 appropriations, there is appropriated from the General Fund to the Uniform School Fund for
14 fiscal year 2002-03 only, the amount of the deficit in the Uniform School Fund or the amount
15 of the surplus in the General Fund, whichever is lesser.
16 Section 2. Effective date.
17 If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this act takes effect
18 upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah
19 Constitution Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto,
20 the date of veto override.
