7 LONG TITLE
8 General Description:
9 This resolution enacts a postage allowance for members of the Senate.
10 Highlighted Provisions:
11 This resolution:
12 . establishes a postage allowance of:
13 . 20 first-class postage stamps at the beginning of each year; plus
14 . up to five letters per day during each annual general session; and
15 . up to ten letters per month during each interim; and
16 . authorizes the President, upon request from a Senator, to grant an additional postage
17 allowance.
18 Special Clauses:
19 This resolution provides an immediate effective date.

24 Be it resolved by the Senate of the state of Utah:
25 Section 1. SR-20.09 is enacted to read:
26 SR-20.09. Senate Postage Allowance.
27 (1) Each Senator may request 20 first-class postage stamps from Senate staff at the

28 beginning of the year.
29 (2) In addition to the postage stamps, each Senator may deposit:
30 (a) up to five letters per day into the Senate mail system during the annual general
31 session; and
32 (b) up to ten letters per month into the Senate mail system during each interim period.
33 (3) Upon request from an individual Senator, the President may grant an additional
34 postage allowance.
35 Section 2. Effective date.
36 This resolution takes effect upon approval by a constitutional majority vote of all
37 members of the Senate.
