Rep. Thompson called the meeting to order at 7:08 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Buxton moved to approve the minutes of the February 19, 2004 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Buffmire, Rep. Jones, and Rep. Last absent for the vote.


H.B. 264    Improving Mental Health Services to the Deaf and Hard-of-hearing Task Force (Rep. D. Hogue)

Rep. Hogue introduced H.B. 264 and explained it to the committee.

Spoke in favor of the bill:    Kristi Mortensen, advocate for deaf

MOTION:    Rep. Litvack moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Last absent for the vote.


H.B. 101    Mental Health Services Coordinator (Rep. D. Hogue)

Rep. Hogue introduced H.B. 101 and explained it to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Litvack moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Thompson voting in opposition to the motion. Rep. Last was absent for the vote.

H.B. 358    Amendments to Access to Health Care Providers (Rep. B. Dee)

Rep. Dee introduced H.B. 358 and explained it to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Thompson moved to delete in title and body H.B. 268 and replace it with 1st Sub. H.B. 268. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Buffmire absent for the vote.





MOTION:    Rep. Thompson moved to amend the substitute bill as follows:
