Vice Chair Clark called the meeting to order at 8:10 A.M

H.B. 312    Nonparticipating Tobacco Manufacturer's Fee (Rep. D. Ure)

    
The sponsor requested the committee adopt 1st Substitute H.B. 312

MOTION:     Representative Snow moved to delete H.B. 312 and replace it with 1st Sub. H.B.312. The motion passed unanimously with Representatives Anderson, Frank, Lawrence, and Moss absent for the vote.

MOTION:     Representative Sietz moved to pass 1st Substitute H.B. 312 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Representatives Lawrence, and Moss absent for the vote.

MOTION:     Representative Buffmire moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Representatives Lawrence, and Moss absent for the vote.

S.B. 128    Long-term Care Facilities Amendments (Sen. L. Blackham)

    
The sponsor introduced the bill and explained its intent. Assisting the in presentation were Deb Burcombe, Utah Health Care, and Dirk Anjewierden, Director, Utah Health Care Association.

MOTION:     Representative Last moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
