Acting Committee Chair B. Evans called the meeting to order at 3:25 p.m., in place of Chair Walker.
1. Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to approve the minutes of the January 23, 2004 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously.
2. H.B. 5 Publication of Resolution or Notice (E. Hutchings)
Rep. Eric Hutchings introduced the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to pass H.B. 5 out with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
3. H.B. 30 Amendments to Administrative Services Rate Committee (D. Clark)
Rep. David Clark introduced the bill and distributed a handout.
Camille Anthony, Executive Director, Dept. of Administrative Services, spoke to the bill. She stated that she supported parts of the bill but opposed others, and recommended the use of an executive order instead.
MOTION: Sen. Walker moved to pass H.B. 30 out with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
3. H.B. 4 Technical Amendment - Polling Place Supplies (K. Morgan)
Rep. Karen Morgan introduced the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Arent moved to pass H.B. 4 out with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to adjourn.
The motion passed unanimously.
Acting Committee Chair B. Evans adjourned the meeting at 3:48 p.m.
