The meeting was called to order by Chair Evans at 9:10 a.m.

1. S.B. 76 Revisions to Royalty on Brine Shrimp (Sen. T. Hatch)

Chair Evans announced that S.B. 76 would not be heard at this meeting at the request of the sponsor.

2. S.B. 17 Reauthorization of Energy Policy Task Force (Sen. L. Blackham)

Sen. Blackham presented the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Hatch moved to pass S.B. 17, Reauthorization of Energy Policy Task Force out with a favorable recommendation.

The motion passed unanimously.

Sen. Evans turned the chair to Sen. Hatch.

3. S.B. 67 Designation of American Indian Heritage Month and an Indigenous People Day (Sen. B. Evans)

Sen. Evans presented the bill.



MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to pass S.B. 67, Designation of American Indian Heritage Month and an Indigenous People Day out with a favorable recommendation.

The motion passed unanimously.

4. S.B. 82 Deposits into Uintah Basin Revitalization Fund (Sen. B. Evans
)

Sen. Evans presented the bill. Maxine Natchees, Chairman, Uintah and Ouray Business Committee; Michael McKee, Uintah County Commissioner; and Lee Peacock, President, Utah Petroleum Association, spoke in support of the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Julander moved to pass S.B. 82, Deposits into Uintah Basin Revitalization Fund out with a favorable recommendation.

Sen. Evans gave a summation of the bill and John Harja, Board Chairman, Uintah Basin Revitalization Fund, answered questions concerning the distribution of the fund.

The motion passed unanimously.

Sen. Evans resumed the chair.

MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to adjourn.

The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Evans adjourned the meeting at 9:30 a.m.
