A list of visitors and a copy of handouts are filed with the committee minutes.

Committee Chair Killpack called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.

     MOTION: Sen. Walker moved to approve the minutes of January 20, 2004.

     The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hickman absent for the vote.
    
1.      S.B. 74 Aerospace and Aviation Development Zone Amendments (M. Dmitrich)

    
Sen. Dmitrich presented the bill assisted by David Harmer Executive Director, Dept. of     Community and Economic Development.

    The following amendments were distributed:

        1. Page 1, line 13:        delete "an instrumental landing system and"

        2. Page 2, lines 28- 29:         reinstate "satisfies the following requirements:
                    (1) the airport shall have an instrumental landing                     system;"

        3. Page 2, line 30:        Before "has" insert "and (2) the airport"
    


    
     MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to adopt the amendments.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Walker moved to pass the bill out, favorably, as amended.

    The motion passed unanimously.

2.    S.B. 93 Telecommunications Annual Report Amendments (B. Evans)

    
Sen. Evans explained the bill assisted by Rick Campbell, Chair., Public Service Commission.

    Kelly Francone, Committee of Consumer Services, expressed concerns about the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Walker moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    Sen. Killpack adjourned the meeting at 9:55 a.m.
