A list of visitors and a copy of handouts are filed with the committee minutes.

Committee Chair Killpack called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m. and announced that H.B. 15 (J. Murray) and H.B. 24 (J. Murray) will be discussed consecutively.

     MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to approve the minutes of January 23, 2004.

     The motion passed unanimously.

1.    H.B. 15 Motor Vehicles Title and Registration Amendments (J. Murray)
    
    Rep. Murray explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Senator Hale moved that the bill be placed on the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously.

2.    H.B. 24 Motor Vehicles Code Revisions
(J. Murray)

    Rep. Murray presented the bill and the following amendments were proposed:




    
1. Page 8, Line 218c:        After "TURN LEFT", delete "SHALL" and
     House Floor Amendment 1-22-04    insert "MAY".

     MOTION: Sen. Eastman moved to adopt the amendments.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to pass the bill out, favorably, as amended.

    The motion passed unanimously.

3.    H.B. 25 Governmental Internet Information Privacy Act
(W. Harper)

    Rep. Harper explained the bill.

    Ms. Annette Call, Salt Lake County Recorder, spoke in support of the bill.

    
MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

4.    H.B. 31 Information Technology Procurement Amendments (D. Clark)

    Rep. Clark explained the bill and a handout was distributed.

     MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Eastman moved to adjourn.

The motion passed unanimously.

    Chair Killpack adjourned the meeting at 8:40 a.m.
