Chair Thomas called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.
MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to approve the minutes of the meeting held January 27, 2004.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hatch absent at the time of voting.
1. S.B. 152 Division of Community Development Name Change (Sen. S. Jenkins)
Sen. Jenkins explained the bill.
Gordon Walker, Division Director, Division of Community Development, spoke in
support of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Julander moved to pass S.B. 152 out of committee with a favorable
recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hatch absent at the time of voting.
MOTION: Sen. Julander moved to place S.B. 152 on the Consent Calendar.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hatch absent at the time of voting.
2. H.B. 75 Industrial Assistance Fund Amendments (Rep. D. Clark)
Rep. David Clark explained the bill.
David Harmer, Executive Director, Department of Community and Economic
Development, spoke in support of the bill and responded to questions by Committee
members.
Sen. Jenkins assumed the Chair.
Committee members discussed H.B. 75 with Director Harmer.
