             7      LONG TITLE
             8      General Description:
             9          This joint resolution of the Legislature fixes the compensation for legislative in-session
             10      employees for 2005.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This resolution:
             13          .    fixes the compensation for legislative in-session employees for 2005.
             14      Special Clauses:
             15          This resolution provides retrospective operation to January 10, 2005.
             16     
             17      Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             18          WHEREAS, the Legislature acting under the authority of Section 36-2-2, Utah Code
             19      Annotated 1953, is required to fix the compensation of its in-session employees by joint
             20      resolution:
             21          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of the state of Utah that
             22      the compensation of legislative in-session employees for actual hours worked be fixed as
             23      follows:
             24          Employees working for the Legislature for the first time shall be paid under the "Step 1"
             25      scale. All other employees will be paid at the same step as they were paid in 2004.
             26          Senate employees are designated with an "S". House of Representative employees are
             27      designated with an "H".
