             7      LONG TITLE
             8      General Description:
             9          This resolution of the House of Representatives recognizes the service of Hollace
             10      (Holly) Parker to the House of Representatives.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This resolution:
             13          .    recognizes the service of Hollace (Holly) Parker to the House of Representatives;
             14      and
             15          .    expresses best wishes to Holly and her family at her retirement.
             16      Special Clauses:
             17          None

             19      Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the state of Utah:
             20          WHEREAS, Hollace (Holly) Parker began employment with the Utah State Legislature
             21      in the Office of Legislative Services in 1975, the same year the Office of the Legislative Fiscal
             22      Analyst was created;
             23          WHEREAS, Speaker of the House Glade Milton Sowards hired Holly to work for the
             24      House of Representatives in 1977;
             25          WHEREAS, Holly has continued to work for the House of Representatives and has
             26      been in charge of payroll for legislators and House employees;
             27          WHEREAS, Holly has prepared all personnel actions required for legislators and


             28      employees;
             29          WHEREAS, during this time Holly earned a degree from Westminster College;
             30          WHEREAS, Holly has taken care of physical facilities for the House of Representatives
             31      and has cheerfully located and secured equipment and materials for members of the House of
             32      Representatives;
             33          WHEREAS, Holly spent untold hours in helping with the design of the West Building
             34      on Capitol Hill;
             35          WHEREAS, Holly insured that proper space was allocated for the House of
             36      Representatives;
             37          WHEREAS, Holly has served as a friend and confidant to all legislators, regardless of
             38      political party or affiliation;
             39          WHEREAS, Holly has gone far beyond the requirements of her job description to be
             40      friendly and helpful to anyone in need of help;
             41          WHEREAS, Holly has worked quietly behind the scenes to insure that the needs of
             42      individual legislators are met;
             43          WHEREAS, Holly is married to Quinton Parker, Jr., and they are the parents of two
             44      children: Christopher and Megan; and
             45          WHEREAS, Holly has dedicated her life to making the lives of legislators more
             46      bearable through her quick wit and friendly smile:
             47          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
             48      state of Utah expresses its heartfelt thanks for the endless hours of service that Hollace (Holly)
             49      Parker has devoted to the House of Representatives and all members, past and present, who
             50      have been served by her.
             51          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the House of Representatives and its members,
             52      past and present, who have been served by her, express their gratitude and wishes for a happy,
             53      fulfilling retirement.
             54          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be presented to Holly
             55      Parker.
