8 General Description:
9 This concurrent resolution of the Legislature and the Governor commends Utah
10 Foundation.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This resolution:
13 . commends Utah Foundation and its staff for their contribution and influence over
14 the past 60 years on the development of public policies that make Utah a great place
15 to live, work, and do business.
16 Special Clauses:

19 Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah, the Governor concurring therein:
20 WHEREAS, Utah Foundation is celebrating its 60th year of performing in-depth,
21 objective research on crucial public policy issues facing this state;
22 WHEREAS, Utah Foundation is the only private nonprofit organization providing this
23 kind of research and information in Utah;
24 WHEREAS, this research has been proven valuable to Utah's citizens, business leaders,
25 local government officials, educators, legislators, and other state officials in understanding
26 public policy issues and making informed decisions on them;
27 WHEREAS, Utah Foundation's mission is to educate and encourage informed public
28 policymaking without being an advocate for particular solutions; and
29 WHEREAS, the principled pursuit of that mission has created an organization that is
30 trusted by leaders and individuals with many different political philosophies:
31 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of the state of Utah, the
32 Governor concurring therein, commends Utah Foundation and its staff for their contribution
33 and influence over the past 60 years on the development of public policies that make Utah a
34 great place to live, work, and do business.
35 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be sent to Utah
36 Foundation.
