             8      LONG TITLE
             9      General Description:
             10          This joint resolution of the Legislature approves the appointment of Mr. John M. Schaff
             11      as Legislative Auditor General.
             12      Highlighted Provisions:
             13          This resolution:
             14          .    appoints John M. Schaff as Legislative Auditor General for a six-year term.
             15      Special Clauses:
             16          None

             18      Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             19          WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 36-12-7 , Utah Code Annotated 1953, the Legislative
             20      Management Committee of the Legislature, upon recommendation of its Audit Subcommittee,
             21      has recommended the appointment of Mr. John M. Schaff as Legislative Auditor General for
             22      the Legislature; and
             23          WHEREAS, the appointment of Mr. John M. Schaff as Legislative Auditor General is
             24      for a term of office of six years commencing November 9, 2004, and is subject to further
             25      approval of a majority vote of both the House of Representatives and the Senate:
             26          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of the state of Utah that
             27      Mr. John M. Schaff's appointment as Legislative Auditor General for the Utah Legislature be


             28      approved for a six-year term of office commencing November 9, 2004.
