Rep. Last called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m.

Rep. Last welcomed everyone in attendance and introduced the committee members and staff.


H.B. 178    Mental Health Services Coordinator (Rep. D. Hogue)

Rep. Hogue introduced H.B. 178 and explained it to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Mascaro moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 1, Line 17 :

The motion to amend the bill passed unanimously.

Donna Winkler and Dale Boam acted as interpreters for a group from the deaf community who spoke to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Jones moved to pass the bill out favorably as amended. The motion passed unanimously.


H.B. 161    Injury Reporting Requirement Amendments (Rep. J. Murray)

Rep. Murray introduced H.B. 161 and explained it to the committee.

Spoke in opposition to the bill:    David Gessel, Utah Hospital Association

MOTION:    Rep. Buxton moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
