    Representative Ferrin called the meeting to order at 4:07 p.m.

MOTION:    Representative Hendrickson moved to approve the minutes of the February 18, 2005 meeting. The motion passed unanimously 10-0-3, with Representatives Donnelson, Ferry, and Wyatt absent for the vote.

H.B. 132    Internet Crimes Against Children (Rep. T. Cosgrove)

MOTION:     Representative Lawrence moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 2, Lines 41 through 42 :    
             41          (2) (a) As part of the attorney general's participation in this task force, the attorney

Representative Cosgrove introduced the bill and explained its intent with the assistance of Ken Hanson and Curt Jorgensen.

MOTION:    Representative Lawrence moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously 8-0-5, with Representatives Donnelson, Ferry, McGee, Wyatt and Ferrin absent for the vote.


H.B. 271    Commitment to Mental Health Authority (Rep. M. Noel)

MOTION:    Representative Lawrence moved to accept 1st Sub. H.B. 271. The motion passed unanimously 8-0-5, with Representatives Donnelson, Ferry, McGee, Wyatt, and Ferrin absent for the vote.

Representative Noel introduced the bill and explained its intent with the assistance of Jack Tanner, UBHN, and Randy Bachman, Director for Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health.

Kris Faieru, LCPD, spoke to the bill.

MOTION:    Representative Fowlke moved to send the bill to Interim Study. The motion passed 9-1-3, with Representative Ferrin voting against the motion. Representative Donnelson, Ferry and Wyatt absent for the motion.

MOTION:    Representative Hogue moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously 10-0-3, with Representatives Donnelson, Ferry and Wyatt.

Representative Ferrin adjourned the meeting at 5:34 p.m.
