Rep. Lawrence called the meeting to order at 8:08 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hardy moved to approve the minutes of February 4, 2005. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Buxton, Rep. Fisher, Rep. King, Rep. Shurtliff, and Rep. Dee absent for the vote.

H.B. 250    Capitol Complex Space (Rep. J. Alexander)

Rep. Alexander introduced the bill and explained it to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Dee moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Buxton, Rep. King, and Rep. Shurtliff absent for the vote.

H.B. 143    National Guard Amendments (Rep. E. Hutchings)

Rep. Hutchings, with the help of Col. Morgan of the Utah National Guard, introduced the bill and explained it to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Holdaway moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimous, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Buxton, Rep. King, and Rep. Shurtliff absent for the vote.






MOTION:    Rep. Holdaway moved that H.B. 143 be placed on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Buxton, Rep. King, and Rep. Shurtliff absent for the vote.

H.B. 216    Global Positioning Reference Network (Rep. K. Holdaway)
            This bill was not considered.

MOTION:     Rep. Gibson moved to adjourn the meeting. The vote was unanimous and the Vice Chair adjourned the meeting at 8:28 a.m.
