Rep. Dee called the meeting to order at 3:25 p.m.


H.C.R. 3    Resolution Regarding Washington County Waste Facility (Rep. B. Last)

Rep. Last introduced the bill and explained it to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Gibson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Hardy, and Rep. King absent for the vote.


H.B. 333    Density Credit for Land Donated to School District (Rep. D. Cox)

Rep. Cox introduced the bill and explained it to the committee.

Spoke to the bill:    Gary Crane, Utah League of Cities and Towns

MOTION:    Rep. Lawrence moved that the committee move to the next item on the agenda. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Hardy and Rep. Holdaway absent for the vote.







S.B. 136    Justice Court Operations Amendments (Sen. E. Mayne)

Sen. Mayne introduced the bill and explained it to the committee.

                Mont Evans, Mayor of Riverton
                Michael Kwan, Justice Courts
                Rick Schwermer, Utah State Court
                Brent Gardner, Utah Association of Counties    

MOTION:    Rep. Holdaway moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion failed with a vote of 3-6-2, with Rep. Holdaway, Rep. King, and Rep. Dee voting yes, Rep. Buxton, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Gibson, Rep. Menlove, Rep. Shurtliff, and Rep. Lawrence voting no, and Rep. Becker, and Rep. Hardy absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Holdaway moved to approve the minutes of February 10, 2005. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, and Rep. Hardy absent for the vote.

MOTION:     Rep. King moved to adjourn. The vote was unanimous and the Chair adjourned the meeting at 4:47 p.m.
