Rep. Cox called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m.

H.C.R. 4     Utah Athletic Foundation Resolution (Rep. D. Ure)

Rep. Ure introduced the resolution and explained it to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Wallace moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed              unanimously with Rep. Morgan and Rep. Mascaro absent for the vote.

Rep. Ure requested that HCR 4 be placed on the Consent Calendar. The chair granted the request upon receiving no opposition.

H.B. 179    Utah Venture Capital Enhancement Act Amendments (Rep. P. Wallace)

Rep. Wallace introduced the bill with the assistance of David Harmer, citizen, and Lynn Solarczyk, State Tax Commission.

Spoke for the bill:    Todd Stevens, Managing Director, Wasatch Venture Fund
            Richard Nelson, President, Utah Information Technology Assn.

Spoke to the bill:    Lloyd Alexander, citizen


MOTION:    Rep. Goodfellow moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed         unanimously.
