Sen. Christensen, the Acting Committee Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.

     MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to approve the minutes of the Feb. 16, 2005 meeting.

    The motion passed unanimously.

1.    H.J.R. 017 Resolution Honoring Celebration of Marriage Week (L. Fowlke)

    Rep. Fowlke explained the bill and the following amendment:


1.    Page 2, Lines 42 through 43 :    

             42          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be sent to the
{   Sutherland   }

             43     
{   Institute   }        Governor's Commission on Marriage       .



     MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to adopt the amendment.

        The motion passed unanimously.

         MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to pass the bill as amended with a favorable recommendation.

        The motion passed unanimously.




         MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to place the bill on the consent calendar.

        The motion passed unanimously.

2.        S.B. 60 Local Land Use Development and Management Amendments (G. Bell)

        Sen. Bell asked that1st substitute S.B. 60 be adopted.

         MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to delete in title and body S.B. 60 and adopt 1st substitute S.B. 60.

        The motion passed unanimously.

        Sen. Bell explained the bill with use of a power point presentation.

         MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to pass1st Substitute S.B. 60 with a favorable recommendation.

        The motion passed unanimously.

3.        H.B. 214 Emerging Technologies and Open Government (D. Clark)

        Rep. Clark explained the bill.

         MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation.

        The motion passed unanimously.

         MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to adjourn.

        The motion passed unanimously.

Sen Christensen adjourned the meeting at 4:30 p.m.
