Sen. Bell, Acting Committee Chair, called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.
MOTION: Sen. Allen moved to approve the minutes of February 21, 2005 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Christensen, Allen, and Knudson absent for the vote.
1. H.B. 62S01 Amendments to Intermediate Care Facilities for Mentally Retarded
(R. Lockhart)
Rep. Lockhart explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Allen moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Christensen and Sen. Knudson absent for the vote.
2. H.B. 233 Adoption Law Revisions (R. McGee)
Rep. McGee explained the bill and an amendment to the bill that was passed by the House Committee.
MOTION: Sen. McCoy moved to pass the bill as amended with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Christensen and Sen. Knudson absent for the vote.
3. H.B. 56S1 Divorce Task Force (P. Wallace)
Sen. Christensen assumed the Committee Chair.
Rep. Wallace explained the bill.
Sen. Bell suggested that language in the bill should be expanded.
MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Allen moved to adjourn.
The motion passed unanimously.
Sen. Christensen adjourned the meeting at 8:40 a.m.
