8 LONG TITLE
9 General Description:
10 This bill appropriates monies to the Water Conservation and Development Fund from
11 any surplus at the end of each fiscal year after other statutory requirements for
12 distribution of the surplus have been met.
13 Highlighted Provisions:
14 This bill:
15 . at the end of each fiscal year, appropriates to the Water Conservation and
16 Development Fund 25% of any General Fund surplus remaining after money has
17 been allocated to the General Fund Budget Reserve Account, any necessary debt
18 service, and to industrial assistance funding.
19 Monies Appropriated in this Bill:
20 This bill appropriates:
21 . 25% of adjusted General Fund surplus.

28 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
29 Section 1. Section 63-38-2.7 is enacted to read:
30 63-38-2.7. Annual appropriation from surplus to Water Conservation and
31 Development Fund.
32 If, at the end of the fiscal year, after the Division of Finance has transferred monies to
33 the General Fund Budget Reserve Account as required by Section 63-38-2.5 , held back monies
34 for the payment of additional debt service as required by Subsection 63-38-2.5 (3), and
35 subtracted monies earmarked to the Industrial Assistance Fund as required by Section
36 63-38f-904 , there remains an unrestricted, undesignated General Fund balance, there is
37 appropriated from the General Fund to the Water Conservation and Development Fund an
38 amount equal to 25% of the additional unrestricted, undesignated General Fund balance that
39 remains after the Division of Finance has:
40 (1) transferred and held back monies in accordance with Section 63-38-2.5 ; and
41 (2) subtracted the monies in accordance with Section 63-38f-904 .
