Chair Clark called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.

H.B. 34    Insurance Reports, Tables, and Examination Amendments (Rep. J. Dunnigan)

Rep. Dunnigan explained the bill, with the assistance of Mickey Braun, Utah Insurance Department.

MOTION:    Rep. Snow moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Adams absent for the vote.

H.B. 233    Insurance Licensing Amendments (Rep. J. Dunnigan)

Rep. Dunnigan explained the bill, with the assistance of Mickey Braun, Utah Insurance Department.



MOTION:    Rep. Snow moved to pass the bill out favorably and amend as follows:

1.    Page 13, Lines 378 through 382 :    

             378          (1) (a) A person that receives a new license under this title on or after July 1, 2007 as a
             379      title insurance agency, shall at the time of licensure be owned or managed by one or more
             380      natural persons who are licensed with the following lines of authority for at least
{   three   }        18 months       of the

             381     
{   five   }        3       years immediately proceeding the date on which the title insurance agency applies for a

             382      license:

The motion to amend and pass the bill out favorably passed unanimously.    

MOTION:    Rep. Biskupski moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Clark adjourned the meeting at 3:00 p.m.
