Rep. Hughes called the meeting to order at 8:38 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hansen moved to approve the minutes of the February 9, 2006 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Buttars, Rep. Clark, Rep. Hendrickson, Rep. Hutchings, and Rep. Tilton absent for the vote.

H.B. 91    Redistricting Amendments (Rep. R. McGee)

Rep. McGee explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill:    Sandy Peck, League of Women Voters

MOTION:    Rep. Hansen moved to pass the bill out favorably.

SUBSTITUTE
MOTION:    Rep. Mathis moved to table HB 91 The motion failed, with Rep. Aagard, Rep. Bowman, Rep. Clark, Rep. Hansen, Rep. Hendrickson, Rep. Hutchings, and Rep. Wheatley voting in opposition.

The motion to pass the bill out favorably failed, with Rep. Aagard, Rep. Bowman, Rep. Buttars, Rep. Clark, Rep. Hughes, Rep. Mathis, and Rep. Tilton, voting in opposition.



H.B. 434    Task Force Studying Natural Disasters (Rep. T. Kiser)


Rep. Kiser explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Buttars moved to amend the bill as follows:
