Rep. Hughes called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hansen moved to approve the minutes of the February 17, 2005 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Clark and Rep. Tilton absent for the vote.

H.B. 231    Voting Amendments (Rep. L. Shurtliff)

Rep. Shurtliff explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Buttars moved to proceed to the next item on the agenda.

SUBSTITUTE
MOTION:    Rep. Hansen moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion failed, with Hansen and Rep. Wheatley voting in favor. Rep. Clark, Rep. Hendrickson, and Rep. Tilton were absent for the vote.

The motion to proceed to the next item on the agenda passed unanimously, with Rep. Clark, Rep. Hendrickson, and Rep. Tilton absent for the vote.

Rep. Hughes relinquished the chair to Rep. Aagard.

H.B. 403    Bailbond Amendments (Rep. G. Hughes)

MOTION:    Rep. Mathis moved to delete in titled and body H.B. 403 and replace it with 1st Substitute H.B. 403. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Clark, Rep. Hendrickson, and Rep. Tilton absent for the vote.



Rep. Hughes explained the bill to the committee.

Sen. Hillyard explained the bill to the committee.
