Rep. Barrus called the meeting to order at 2:13 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Biskupski moved to approve the minutes of the January 25, 2006 meeting.         The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Dayton and Rep. Gowans absent for         the vote.

H.B. 271    Petroleum Storage Tank Trust Fund Amendments (Rep. D. Ure)

Rep. Ure explained the bill to the committee, with the assistance of Brad Johnson, Division Director, Division of Environmental Mediation.

Spoke for the bill:    John Hill, Utah Petroleum Marketers and Retailers

MOTION:    Rep. Buttars moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Dayton and Rep. Gowans absent for the vote.



H.B. 211    Brand Inspection Amendments (Rep. D. Ure)
    
Rep. Ure explained the bill to the committee.

Rep. Ure declared a conflict of interest.

            Michael R. Marshall, Utah Department of Agriculture and Food

MOTION:    Rep. Dayton moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed, with Rep. Buttars, Rep. Gowans, Rep. Mathis and Rep. Wheeler voting in opposition.

MOTION:    Rep. Biskupski moved to correct the minutes of the January 25, 2006 meeting.         The minutes reflected that H.B. 69 was shown as not considered instead of         H.B. 211. The motion passed unanimously.     

H.B. 126    County Option Sales and Use Tax for Agricultural Land and Open Land (Rep. C. Buttars)

Rep. Buttars explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Cox moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed, with Rep. Painter, Rep. Ure and Rep Walker voting in opposition. Rep. Dayton and Rep. Wheeler were absent for the vote.

H.B. 287    Wildlife Damage Compensation Act Amendments (Rep. C. Buttars)

This bill was not considered.




MOTION:    Rep. Cox moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with         Rep. Dayton and Rep. Wheeler absent for the vote.

Rep. Barrus adjourned the meeting at 3:25 p.m.
