Rep. Lawrence called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hardy moved to approve the minutes of January 17, 2006. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Fisher and Rep. Menlove absent for the vote.

H.B. 207    Inherent Risks of Participating in Recreational Activities on Property Owned by Local Government (Rep. D. Bowman)

Rep. Bowman introduced and explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. King moved to remove the amended language from H.B. 207 as adopted in the previous meeting of January 17, 2006. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker and Rep. Menlove absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Shurtliff moved to amend H.B. 207 as follows:

1.    Page 1, Line 18 :    

             18      owned by a county or municipality
{   .   }        ;

    . expands the definition of recreational activities; and
    . extends to independent special districts the protection from liability that counties

and municipalities have for claims resulting from inherent risks of certain recreational activities.

H.B. 210    County Ordinance Amendments (Rep. L. Wiley)


Rep. Wiley introduced and explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Dee moved to adjourn the meeting. The vote was unanimous. Rep. Lawrence adjourned the meeting at 2:50 p.m.
