Rep. Lawrence called the meeting to order at 4:13 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Menlove moved to approve the minutes of February 17, 2006. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Gibson, Rep. Hardy, and Rep. Shurtliff absent for the vote.

S.B. 246 County Director of Personnel Management Amendments (Sen. T. Hatch)

Sen. Hatch introduced and explained the bill to the Committee.

MOTION: Rep. Buxton moves to amend S.B. 246 as follows:

an
alternative to the procedure under Subsections (1)(a)(ii), (iii), and (iv) and
54 at the county executive's discretion, the county executive may appoint a director of personnel

MOTION: Rep. Holdaway moved that S. B. 246 be placed on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Gibson, and Rep. Shurtliff absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. King moved to adjourn the meeting. The vote was unanimous. Rep. Lawrence adjourned the meeting at 4:28 p.m.
