Rep. Dee called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hardy moved to approve the minutes of February 20, 2006. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Holdaway, Rep. Lawrence, Rep. King, and Rep. Menlove absent for the vote.

1st Sub. S.B. 113 Governmental Immunity Limits (Sen. H. Stephenson) (Rep. S. Urquhart)

Sen. Stephenson introduced and explained the bill to the Committee, with the help of Mark Shurtleff, Utah Attorney General.

MOTION:    Rep. Buxton moved to adopt 2nd Substitute S.B. 113. The motion passed with Rep. Gibson and Rep. Menlove voting in opposition, and Rep. Becker, Rep. Holdaway, and Rep. King absent for the vote.

Spoke to the bill: Steve Poulton, Insurance Broker, Poulton Insurance

MOTION:    Rep. Gibson moved to adjourn. The motion failed with Rep. Gibson, Rep. Menlove and Rep. Shurtliff voting in favor, and Rep. Becker, Rep. Holdaway, and Rep. King absent for the vote.



MOTION:    Rep. Hardy moved that the Committee recommend 2nd Sub. S.B. 113 favorably. The motion passed, with Rep Menlove voting in opposition, and Rep. Becker, Rep. Holdaway, and Rep. King absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Buxton moved to adjourn the meeting. The vote was unanimous. Rep. Dee adjourned the meeting at 9:05 a.m.
