At the direction of the Chairs, Representative Ferry called the meeting to order at 9:12 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Wiley moved to approve the minutes of February 8, 2006. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Allen, Rep. Hunsaker, and Rep. Noel absent for the vote.

Rep. Ferry relinquished the Chair to Rep. Hunsaker

H.B. 417    Amendments to Child Protection Registry (Rep. E. Hutchings)

Rep. Hutchings introduced the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Wheeler moved to replace H.B. 417 with 1st Substitute H.B. 417. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Allen and Rep. Noel absent for the vote.

MOTION:        Rep. Wiley moved to amend the bill.

SUBSTITUTE
MOTION:        Rep. Ferry moved to amend the bill as follows:


1. Page 5, Line 134:            After "division" delete "may" insert "shall"

                        After "implement" delete "procedures" insert "rules"


The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Noel absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Tilton moved to pass the bill out favorably as amended. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Noel absent for the vote.

MOTION :    Rep. Allen moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Noel absent for the vote.

Rep. Hunsaker adjourned the meeting at 9:55 a.m.
