    Rep. Michael Morley called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Shurtliff moved to approve the minutes of February 1, 2006. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Bigelow, Rep. Hansen, Rep. Lockhart, Rep. Morgan and Rep. Clark absent for the vote.

1.    H.B. 334    Public Employees' Health Plan Option (Rep. E. Hutchings)

    
Rep. Hutchings explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Newbold moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Bigelow and Rep. Lockhart absent for the vote.

2.    H.B. 146    Public Safety Retirement for Dispatchers (Rep. D. Bowman)

    
Rep. Bowman explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Carol Groustra, Department of Public Safety.

    Tom Hardy, Utah League of Cities and Towns, spoke against the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Hansen moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Hardy and Rep. Newbold voting against the motion.

3.    2nd Sub. H.B. 9    Workers' Compensation Studies Including Coverage of Firefighters and Drug Officers (Rep. J. Murray)

MOTION:    Rep. Clark moved to return 2nd Sub. H.B. 9 to the Rules Committee. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Clark moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously and the Chair adjourned the meeting at 2:00 p.m.
