H.B. 96 Pedestrians' Right-of-way Amendments (Rep. B. Daw)
Rep. Daw explained the bill assisted by Scott Duncan, Utah Highway Patrol.
MOTION: Rep. Tim Cosgrove moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan and Rep. Wallace absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. King moved to approve the minutes of the January 18, 2006 and the January 20, 2006 meetings. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan and Rep. Wallace absent for the vote.
H.B. 267 Transportation Construction Amendments (Rep. Julie Fisher)
Rep. Fisher explained the bill assisted by Linda Hull, Utah Department of Transportation.

MOTION: Rep. Morgan moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
H.B. 293 Transportation - Oversize and Overweight Permit (Rep. K. Gibson)
Rep. Gibson explained the bill.
MOTION: Rep. Morgan moved to amend the bill as follows:
1. Page 3, Lines 82 through 86 :
82 (iii) In accordance with Title 63, Chapter 46a, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act,
83 the department shall

rules for the issuance of an annual oversize
permit for a vehicle or
84 combination of vehicles that is more than 14 feet 6 inches wide, 14 feet high, or 105 feet long
85 if the department determines that the permit is needed to accommodate highway transportation
86 needs for multiple trips on a specified route.
The motion to amend the bill passed unanimously.
