Approval of Minutes

    MOTION:
Sen. Davis moved to approve the minutes of January 18, 2006 meeting.

    The motion passed unanimously.

1.    H.B. 33 Insurance Related Investment Amendments (J. Dunnigan)

    Rep. Dunnigan introduced the bill assisted by Steven Fry, Chief Examiner, Utah Insurance     Department.


    Neal Gooch, Deputy Commissioner, Utah Insurance Department spoke in support of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

2.    S.B. 93 Boiler and Elevator Safety Provisions (E Mayne)

    
Sen. Mayne introduced the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Killpack moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Davis moved that the bill be placed on the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously.

3.    S.B. 58 Alcoholic Beverage Amendments - Eliminating Alcohol Sales to Youth
    (P. Knudson)


    Sen. Knudson introduced the bill and the following amendments were distributed:

             42      Account for fiscal year 2006-07 only, to the Department of Public Safety to be used
             43      by the Highway Safety Office as provided in Section 32A-1-115 ; and

     MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to pass the bill out favorably as amended.

    The motion passed unanimously.

4.    S.B. l37 Business Organization and Division of Corporations and Commercial Code     Amendments (G. Bell)

    
Sen. Bell introduced the bill.

    Kathy Berg, Division Dir., CMRC Corporations, answered questions from the committee.

     MOTION: Sen. Killpack moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

5.    S.B. 109 Uniform Commercial Code - Warehouse Receipts, Bills of Lading and Other     Documents of Title (L. Hillyard)

    Sen. Hillyard introduced the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Waddoups moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Killpack moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    Chair Jenkins adjourned the meeting at 3:10 p.m.
