Committee Chair Christensen called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.
MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to approve the minutes of the February 17, 2006 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Bell absent for the vote.
1. H.B. 0130 Adoption Amendments (A. Hardy)
Rep. Hardy explained the bill.
Larry Jenkins, Utah Adoption Council, answered questions posed by the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to pass the bill out favorably.
The motion passed unanimously.
2. H.B. 0142 Center for Multicultural Health Duties (R. Romero)
Rep. Romero explained the bill.
Judi Hillman, Voices for Utah Children, spoke in support of the bill. Also speaking in support of the bill was Sylvia Richard, Utah Department of Health, Ethnic Advisory Committee.
MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to pass the bill out favorably.
