Committee Vice Chair Bell called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.
    
     MOTION: Sen. Arent moved to approve the minutes of February 6, 2006. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Dmitrich absent for the vote.            

1.    S.B. 167 Juvenile Offenses - Diversion Amendment (P. Arent)

    Sen. Arent presented the bill.

    Jacey Skinner, Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office, assisted in the presentation.

     MOTION: Sen. Thomas moved to pass S.B. 167 out of the committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

2.    S.B. 184 Criminal Identity Fraud Amendments (C. Walker)

    Sen. Walker presented the bill.

     Richard Hamp, Attorney General's Office, assisted in the presentation.

     MOTION: Sen. Arent moved to pass S. B. 184 out of the committee with a favorable recommendation.



    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to have S.B. 184 placed on the consent calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously.

3.    S.B. 185 Drug Offender Reform Act Amendments (S. Killpack)

    
The bill was not considered.

4.    S.B. 186 Revocation of Death Benefits by Divorce (K. Hale)

    
Sen. Hale presented the bill.

    Betsy Jerome, Department of Insurance, Life Insurance Division, assisted in the presentation.

     MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to pass S.B. 186 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to have S.B. 186 placed on the consent calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously.

5.    H.C.R. 4 Resolution Supporting Utah Highway Patrol Use of White Crosses as Roadside Memorials (P. Ray)

     MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to adjourn.
