MOTION: Sen. Hatch moved to approve the minutes of February 8, 2006.

is enacted to read:
34 19-6-124. Prohibition on the disposal of electronic waste.
35 (1) As used in this section:
36 (a) "Electronic waste" means a system unit, cathode ray tube, flat panel screen, or other
37 similar video display device with a screen size of greater than 4 inches measured diagonally.
38 (b) "System unit" means:
39 (i) the casing or portion of a computer that contains the central processing unit, which
40 performs the primary quantity of data processing; and
41 (ii) the unit that, together with the memory, forms the central part of the computer to
42 which peripheral devices may be attached.
43 (2) After July 1, 2007, a person may not place, discard, or otherwise dispose of
44 electronic waste in any nonhazardous solid waste landfill or incinerator operated by a
45 commercial entity or a political subdivision of the state. ]]

3. H.B. 264 Acceptance of R.S. 2477 Rights-of-Way Amendments (Rep. M. Noel)
Rep. Mike Noel introduced the bill.
Wayne Jones, Executive Director, Utah Powersport Dealers Association, and Brad Shafer, Utah Association of Counties, spoke in support of the bill.
Sen. Hatch moved to pass H.B. 264, Acceptance of R.S. 2477 Rights-of-Way Amendments, out favorably.
The motion passed with Sen. Fife and Sen. McCoy voting in opposition.
4. H.B. 287 Wildlife Damage Compensation Act Amendments (Rep. C. Buttars)
Rep. Craig Buttars introduced the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to replace H.B. 287 with 1st Substitute H.B. 287.
The motion passed unanimously.

Sen. Peterson moved to pass 1st Substitute H.B. 287, Wildlife Damage Compensation Act Amendments, out favorably.

5. H.B. 48 Water Company Amendments (Rep. D. Ure)
Rep. David Ure introduced the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to adopt the following amendment:
