Approval of Minutes

    MOTION:
Sen. Goodfellow moved to approve the minutes of February 14, and February     16, 2006.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Bell, Dmitrich and Stephenson absent or the vote.

1.    H.B. 294 Creation of Education Fund (J. Alexander)     
    Rep. Alexander explained the bill.
    
     MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to transmit the bill with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Bell, Dmitrich and Stephenson absent for the     vote.

    MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved that the bill be placed on the Consent Calendar.



    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Bell, Dmitrich and Stepnenson absent for the     vote.

2.    H.B. 396 Amendments to the Property Tax Exemptions for Disabled Veterans
    (M. Morley)

    
    Rep. Morley explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to transmit the bill with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Bell, Dmitrich and Stephenson absent for the     vote.

     MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved that the bill be placed on the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Bell, Dmitrich and Stephenson absent for the     vote.

3.    H.B. 95 Individual Income Tax Contribution for Community Spay and Neuter     Programs (M. Noel)

    Rep. Noel explained the bill.

    Karen Bird, Manager, West Valley Animal Center; West Valley Animal Control Officer;     Gregory Castle, President, No More Homeless Pets in Utah; and Todd Bingham, Vice     President, Farm Bureau, spoke in support of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to transmit the bill with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.     
     MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to adjourn.
