9 This bill changes the effective date of 2006 S.B. 161, Mechanics' Lien and Payment

23 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. Uncodified Section 2, Chapter 203, Laws of Utah 2006 is amended to
25 read:
26 Section 2. Effective date.
27 This bill takes effect on [January 1,] May 1, 2007 and applies to a waiver and release or

28 restrictive endorsement signed on or after [January 1,] May 1, 2007.
29 Section 2. Effective date.
30 If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this bill takes effect
31 upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah
32 Constitution Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto,
33 the date of veto override.
