MOTION: Rep. Fowlke moved to approve the minutes of the January 23, 2007 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover, Rep. Hendrickson, Rep. Hutchings, and Rep. Wiley absent for the vote.
H.B. 247 Special Service District Authority to Provide Jail Facilities (Rep. J. Mathis)
Rep. Mathis explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Hansen moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover, Rep. Hendrickson, Rep. Hutchings and Rep. Wiley absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Hansen moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover, Rep. Hendrickson, Rep. Hutchings, and Rep. Wiley absent for the vote.

H.B. 257 Open and Public Meeting Act Amendments (Rep. G. Donnelson)
Rep. Donnelson explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Oda moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover, Rep. Hutchings, and Rep. Wiley absent for the vote.

H.B. 254 Pete Suazo Athletic Commission (Rep. G. Hughes)
MOTION: Rep. Hansen moved to delete in title and body H.B. 254 and replace it with 1st Sub. H.B. 254. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover and Rep. Wiley absent for the vote.
Rep. Hughes explained the substitute bill to the committee.
