Rep. Menlove called the meeting to order at 2:16 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Riesen moved to approve the minutes of the January 24, 2007 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Buxton and Rep. Litvack absent for the vote.


H.B. 299    Nurse Practice Act Amendments (Rep. R. Lockhart)

Rep. Lockhart introduced H.B. 299 and explained it to the committee, assisted by Laura Poe, Division of Professional Licensing.

MOTION:    Rep. Sandstrom moved to pass H.B. 299 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Buxton and Rep. Litvack absent for the vote.


H.B. 312    Funding for Department of Health Early Intervention Programs (Rep. S. Urquhart)

Rep. Urquhart introduced H.B. 312 and explained it to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Harper moved to delete in title and body H.B. 312 and replace it with 1st Substitute H.B. 312. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Litvack absent for the vote.

Rep. Menlove declared a conflict of interest.

MOTION:    Rep. Harper moved to pass 1st Substitute H.B. 312 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Litvack absent for the vote.


S.B. 82    Amendments to Utah Comprehensive Health Insurance Pool (Sen. G. Davis)

Sen Davis introduced S.B. 82 and explained it to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Riesen moved to pass S.B. 82 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Harper absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Sandstrom moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Harper absent for the vote.
