Representative Aagard called the meeting to order at 8:38 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Johnson moved to approve the minutes of the February 16, 2007 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Allen and Rep. Hutchings absent for the vote.


H.B. 281    Crime Victim Reparations Amendments (Rep. S. Wyatt)

MOTION:    Rep. Wyatt moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 21, Lines 643 through 645 :    

             643      victims constitute a violation of their parole or probation[.]; and
             644          (h) any person whose injuries are the result of criminally injurious conduct which
             645      occurred in a prison, jail, or any other correctional facility
  while the person was serving a sentence of imprisonment       .


The motion to amend the bill passed unanimously.




Rep. Wyatt explained H.B. 281 as amended to the committee. He was assisted by Ron Gordon,
Director, Office of Crime Victim Reparations.

MOTION:    Rep. Johnson moved to pass H.B. 281 as amended out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Allen and Rep. Hutchings absent for the vote.


S.B. 154    Statement Under Penalty of Perjury (Sen. S. McCoy)

Sen. McCoy explained S.B. 154, assisted by Bob Wilde, attorney.

MOTION:    Rep. McGee moved to pass S.B. 154 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Johnson moved to place S.B. 154 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.


MOTION:    Rep. Grover moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Aagard adjourned the meeting at 8:59 a.m.
