Rep. Gibson called the meeting to order at 2:03 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to approve the minutes of the January 17, 2007 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Donnelson, Rep. Noel and Rep. Sandstrom absent for the vote.

Rep. Gibson relinquished the chair to Rep. Barrus.

H.B. 227    Motorboat Liability Insurance Revisions (Rep. K. Gibson)

Rep. Gibson explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Gibson resumed the chair.

H.B. 99    Water Loan Program Amendments (Rep. P. Painter)

MOTION:    Rep. Painter moved to amend the bill as follows:



1.    Page 10, Lines 292 through 293 :    

             292          (4) The loan
{   or grant   } recipient may pay the origination fee from the loan      {   or grant   }

             293      proceeds.
    The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Painter explained the bill, as amended, to the committee.

H.B. 97    Motor Vehicle Registration Checkoff for Protecting Access to Public Lands and Off-highway Vehicle Education (Rep. M. Noel)

MOTION:    Rep. Noel moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 3, Lines 87 through 88 :    

             87          (4) The Legislature shall appropriate money in the account to the board.
  (5) The board may expend up to 10% of the monies appropriated under Subsection (4) to:

    (a) administer account distributions in accordance with Subsections (6) through (9); and
    (b) administer off-highway vehicle provisions under this chapter.
