Rep. Gibson called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to approve minutes of the January 29, 2007 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Noel, Rep. Painter, and Rep. Wheeler absent for the vote.

H.B. 132    Registration and License Requirements for Pesticide Businesses and Applicators (Rep. J. Draxler)

Rep. Draxler explained the bill to the committee. (handout)

MOTION:    Rep. Brown moved to proceed to the next item on the agenda. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Noel, Rep. Painter, and Rep. Wheeler absent for the vote.


H.B. 361    State Purchase of Real Property (Rep. D. Bowman)

Rep. Bowman explained the bill to the committee. (2 handouts)

MOTION:    Rep. Brown moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 132    Registration and License Requirements for Pesticide Businesses and Applicators (Rep. J. Draxler)

The committee resumed discussion on the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Brown moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 5, Lines 124 through 126 :    

             124          (23)
  (a)       "Pesticide applicator business" means an entity that:

             125          
{   (a)   }        (i)       is authorized to do business in this state; and

             126          
{   (b)   }        (ii)       offers pesticide application services.

    
  (b)    "Pesticide applicator business" does not include an individual licensed agricultural applicator who may work for hire.      


        The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Anderson moved to pass the bill out favorably as amended. The bill passed unanimously.

S.B. 93    Governor's Rural Partnership Board Amendments (Sen. J. Hickman) (Rep. S. Urquhart)

Sen. Hickman explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Painter moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.


H.B. 321    Off-highway Vehicle Amendments (Rep. M. Noel)
