Rep. Wyatt called the meeting to order at 3:08 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Froerer moved to approve the minutes of February 7, 2007. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Allen, Rep. Becker, Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Seelig, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

1st Sub. H.B. 320 Recovery of Federal Reimbursement for Costs Associated with Illegal      Immigrants (Rep. K. Morgan)

Rep. Morgan introduced and explained the bill to the Committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Gibson moved to recommend 1st Sub. H.B. 320 favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Allen, Rep. Becker, Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Seelig, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

H.B. 349    Accounting Audit Standards (Rep. K. Grover)

Rep. Grover introduced and explained the bill to the Committee, with the help of Austin Johnson, State Auditor.


MOTION:    Rep. Gibson moved to recommend H.B. 349 favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Allen, Rep. Becker, Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Seelig, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

H.B. 462    County Personnel Management Act (Rep. D. Litvack)

Rep. Litvack introduced and explained the bill to the Committee, with the help of Karen Suzuki- Okabe, Deputy Major, Salt Lake County.

MOTION:    Rep. Shurtliff moved to recommend H.B. 462 favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Seelig, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Hunsaker moved to place H.B. 462 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Becker, Rep. Seelig, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

H.B. 65    Special and Local Districts Amendments (Rep. B. Dee)

Rep. Dee introduced and explained the bill to the Committee, with the help of Robert H. Rees, Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel.

MOTION:    Rep. Buxton moved to adjourn the meeting. The vote was unanimous.

Rep. Wyatt adjourned the meeting at 3:50 p.m.
