Rep. Kiser called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Julie Fisher moved to approve the minutes of the February 7, 2007 meeting.
        The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. S. Clark, Rep. Ferry, Rep. Herrod, Rep. Morgan, Rep. Neuenschwander, Rep. Snow, and Rep. Walker absent for the vote.

H.B. 352    Local Government Regulation of Billboards (Rep. M. Brown)

Rep. Brown introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Holdaway moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 2, Lines 49 through 50 :    

             49          (b)
{   A relocated   }        A billboard owner relocating the       billboard under Subsection (1)(a)(iv):


             50
         (i) may
{   be erected   }        , as the owner determines:

    (A) erect the billboard:
    (I) to at least the same height as the previous use or structure; and
    (II)  
to a height and angle to make it clearly visible to traffic on the main

  (B) install a sign face on the billboard that is at least the same size as, but no larger than, the sign face on the billboard before its relocation; and

H.B. 288    Zion National Park Special Group License Plate (Rep. B. Last)

Rep. Last introduced the bill to the committee, with the assistance of Jock Whitworth, Superintendent, Zion's National Park. (handout)

MOTION:    Rep. Ferry moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 8, Lines 224 through 225 :    

             224      shall be deposited into the Zion National Park Support Programs Restricted Account.
    
  (4) The Legislature shall appropriate funds in the account to the division.
