Rep. Kiser called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Menlove moved to approve the minutes of the February 9, 2007 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Daw, Rep. Ferry, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Herrod, and Rep. Morgan absent for the vote.
H.B. 82 Driving by Minors Amendments (Rep. C. Frank)
MOTION: Rep. S. Clark moved to delete in title and body H.B. 82 and replace it with 1st Substitute H.B. 82. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Daw, Rep. Ferry, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Herrod and Rep. Morgan absent for the vote.
Rep. Frank introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION: Rep. Daw moved to amend the bill as follows:

for the driver's employment, including the trip to and from the driver's
residence
74 and the driver's employment;
2. Page 3, Lines 75 through 77 :
75 (c)
(i) with one passenger who is not an immediate family member in the
vehicle;
(ii)
with the written consent of the driver's and passenger's parent or guardian
;
and
(iii)

MOTION: Rep. S. Clark moved to include the previous amendment and amend the bill as follows:

The motion to amend passed, with Rep. Cosgrove voting in opposition. Rep. Daw was absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. S. Clark moved to pass the bill out favorably as amended. The motion failed, with Rep. S. Clark, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Herrod, Rep. Kiser, Rep. Neuenschwander, and Rep. Walker voting in opposition. Rep. Daw was absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Hemingway moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed
unanimously, with Rep. Daw absent for the vote.
Rep. Kiser adjourned the meeting at 5:20 p.m.
