Rep. Mascaro called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

H.B. 16    Designated Mental Retardation Professional Amendments (Rep. R. Menlove)

Rep. Menlove introduced the bill to the committee, with the assistance of Dr. George Kelner, Director, Division of Services for People with Disabilities.

Spoke for the bill:    Dr. Nathan Wood, President Elect, Utah Association of Marriage and             Family Therapy
            Joyce Dolcourt, Director of Public Policy, The ARC of Utah

MOTION:    Rep. Daw moved to pass the bill out favorably and to place H.B.16 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Janice Fisher and Rep. King absent for the vote.

H.B. 49    Pilot Program for Day Support Services (Rep. R. Menlove)

This bill was not heard at this meeting.

H.B. 18    Child Support Collection Amendments (Rep. Julie Fisher)

Rep. Fisher introduced the bill to the committee, with the assistance of Tracy Graham, Deputy Director, Office of Recovery Services.

MOTION:    Rep. King moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Morgan moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
