Committee Chair Buttars called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.
1. S.B. 43 Smoking Ban in Vehicle When a Child Is Present (Sen. McCoy)
Sen. McCoy explained the need for the bill.
Kelly Atkinson, representing the Fraternal Order of Police , spoke in support of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to pass the bill out favorably.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Christensen absent at the time of voting.
2. H.B. 28 Domestic Violence and Dating Violence Amendments (D. Litvack)
This bill will be heard in the next meeting.
3. H.B. 9 Health Care Cost and Quality Data (M. Morley)
Rep. Morley asked for the bill to be amended as follows.

MOTION: Sen. Goodfellow moved to pass the bill out favorably as amended.

4. S.B. 134 Psychologist Licensing Act Amendments (L. Hillyard)
Sen. Hillyard introduced Dr. Nancy Cline, Utah Psychological Assn., and asked her to explain the bill. Dr. Cline spoke in support of the bill.
Also speaking in support of the bill was Dr. Rachelle Rose, a psychology resident.
MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to pass the bill out favorably.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to adjourn the meeting.
Committee Chair Buttars adjourned the meeting at 8:38 a.m.
