Chair Bell called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Greiner moved to approve the minutes of February 6, 2007.
The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Madsen and Romero absent for the vote.
1. S.B. 216 Utah Antitrust Act Amendments (Sen. L. Hillyard)
Sen. Hillyard explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Hillyard moved to pass S.B. 216 out of Committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen absent for the vote.
2. S.B. 224 Judiciary Amendments (Sen. L. Hillyard)
Sen. Hillyard explained the bill and proposed an amendment.
MOTION: Sen. Hillyard moved to adopt the following amendment:
1. Page 2, Lines 30 through 31 :

This bill has a Coordination Clause.
2. Page 16, Line 466 :
466 enter judgment on the merits.
Section 7. Coordinating S.B. 224 with S.B. 136.
If this bill, S.B. 224, Judiciary Amendments, and S.B. 136, Unlawful Detainer Amendments, both pass, it is the intent of the Legislature that the amendments in Subsection 78-36-8.5(2)(c) in this bill shall supercede the amendments to the same subsection in S.B. 136, Unlawful Detainer Amendments.

3. H.B. 32 Expedited Parent-time Enforcement (Rep. Julie Fisher)

MOTION: Sen. Romero moved to pass H.B. 32 out of Committee with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hillyard absent for the vote.
4. H.B. 15 Driver License Privilege Suspension for Failure to Pay Child Support

The motion passed with Sens. Greiner and Madsen voting against the motion and Sen. Hillyard absent for the vote.
