Committee Chair Bramble called the meeting to order at 12:08 p.m.

1.    S.B. 247 Retirement Systems Membership Exclusions (M. Dmitrich)

    Sen. Dmitrich explained the bill.

    Sen. Goodfellow moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Walker absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to place the bill on the Consent Calender.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Walker absent for the vote.

2.    S.B. 39 Public Safety Retirement Death Benefit Modifications (J. Greiner)

    
Sen. Greiner explained the bill.


    Kelly Atkinson, Executive Director, Fraternal Order of Police, spoke in support of the bill.

         MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to pass the bill out favorably.

        The motion passed unanimously.

         MOTION: Sen. Davis moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar.

        The motion passed unanimously.

3.    H.B. 260 Post Retirement Employment (G. Donnelson)

    
Maria Stahla, Audit Supervisor, Office of Legislative Auditor General, reported on " A Performance Audit of Post-Retirement Re-employment," and focused on specific recommendations for the Legislature to consider.

    
Rep. Donnelson explained the bill.

    Sen. Peterson distributed a substitute bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to refer the substitute bill back to the Rules Committee.

     SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Sen. Buttars moved to delete in title and body H.B. 260 and replace it with 1st Substitute H.B. 260 Post Retirement Employment.

    The motion passed with Sen. Walker voting in opposition.

     MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to send the substitute bill back to the Rules Committee.

    The motion passed unanimously.

4.    H.B. 7S1 State Post-retirement Benefits Trust Fund (K. Grover)

    
Rep. Grover explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Walker moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.


5.    H.B. 8 Retirement Office Amendments (D. Clark)

    
Dan Andersen, Legal Council, Retirement Office explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Buttars moved to pass the bill out favorably.

    The motion passed unanimously.

6.    H.B. 21 Public Safety Retirement Conversion Window (M. Newbold)

    
Rep. Newbold explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Walker moved to pass the bill out favorably.
    
    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Buttars moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     Committee Chair Bramble adjourned the meeting at 12:40 p.m.
