             8      LONG TITLE
             9      General Description:
             10          This bill modifies Title 64, Chapter 13, Department of Corrections - State Prison,
             11      authorizing the executive director of the Department of Corrections to permit the use of
             12      state vehicles by certain department personnel.
             13      Highlighted Provisions:
             14          This bill:
             15          .    allows the executive director of the Department of Corrections to authorize the use
             16      of a state vehicle for commute and official purposes by a department employee who:
             17              .    supervises probationers or parolees; or
             18              .    is charged with investigating criminal activity of probationers or parolees.

             27      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             28          Section 1. Section 64-13-43 is enacted to read:
             29          64-13-43. Use of state vehicles by department personnel.


             30          The department executive director may authorize the use of a state vehicle for official
             31      and commute purposes for a department employee who:
             32          (1) supervises probationers or parolees; or
             33          (2) investigates the criminal activity of inmates, probationers, or parolees.
